V11 Magic

We are excited to welcome Jenaya Massie to our Epic Kayaks Australia Team of athletes. Not only is she the kindest person, but she is also an extremely gifted sprint kayaker who is ready to take the ocean paddling world by storm. 

Having recently won gold on the U18 K1 1000m at the Australian Sprint Kayak Championships, and also won silver in the U18 K1 500 and U18 K2 500m.  These outstanding performances secured her a spot on the 2020 World Junior Sprint Kayak Championship team to be held in Brandenburg, Germany.

Jenaya is the current two times U18 K2 500m and U18 K1 500m Asia Pacific champion and is striving to continue this success in upcoming regattas. Out of the kayak, Jenaya has continued her love of paddling in a different craft. She has found a new passion in an ocean ski and is excited about downwind paddling. She is currently the Australian U18 Ocean Ski Champion and is excited to see where she can go in the future in this discipline of paddling.

Her weapon of choice is the V11 Elite and we thought we'd share her thoughts on the V11 with you:

"After paddling a kayak and surf ski for years, it was an absolute pleasure to finally paddle an ocean ski that is not only perfect in size and extremely comfortable, but also paddles great in both the flat water and through ocean chop.

The crew at Epic Kayaks have succeeded in building a beautifully designed ski. The general feel of the boat is characteristically strong. The carefully well thought out length and volume puts the V11 in a class of its own because of the easy transition that it offers to athletes paddling a kayak and/or surf ski. I personally find that regardless of the size of the swell and wind velocity, the V11 can catch runners and tract swell bumps effortlessly, maintaining its speed very well.  A major strength of the boat is that it performs powerfully in all swell size!  A unique advantage that the V11 offers, that other boats do not, is that due to its length, it is very efficient on small wind chops, through to large ground swells.

I have no hesitation in recommending the V11 to enthusiastic paddlers regardless of their age or paddle skill, as it is a quality craft for all paddlers".
