This one is a bit different. Buy a brand new (prototype) ski and save $850 on an equivalent new v8!!!! This is completely a one off and has never been paddled. Based on the popular v8 tourer ultra, the Epic factory built Epic Kayaks Australia a prototype surfski based on the v8 ultra tourer, removing the overstern rudder (leaving the understern/surfski rudder only) and removing the hatches.
Essentially, this leaves us with a surfski based on the v8 tourer, with a reinforced hull. Super stable and highly capable in both flat water and in a downwind. It's a really nice ski but, as a prototype, there are savings to be had.
This ski is absolutely brand new and will suit a paddler wanting a brand new Epic at a never to be repeated price!
