Since its recent introduction in Australia, the V5 Generation 2 has been a very popular ski in the Epic line up. If you’re new to performance paddling, the V5 Surfski Generation 2 will allow you to jump on and go in all conditions. It really is an excellent ski for fitness and fun, and now in the two new layups - this ski is even lighter and easier to manage (whether that's carrying it to the water or putting on the roof of your car)!
Slightly longer, a touch narrower and lighter than the Gen 1 model, the V5 Gen 2 has an under-hull rudder and no storage hatch, just like our existing V-series surfskis. The excellent stability and hull speed gives beginners and more experienced paddlers alike the confidence to take it downwind, play in the surf zone with ease, and cruise flatwater with comfort and efficiency. If your aim is to paddle for fitness or fun, we would highly recommend giving this ski a try - it is a sheer joy, can still hit top speed (with trademark Epic design efficiency) and is very reassuring to paddle from a balance perspective. And now, especially with the seamless finish, it's a great looking ski to boot.
Our signature cutaway front deck design allows a close, efficient catch at the start of every stroke. The V5 Surfski Gen 2 comes standard with under hull rudder, adjustable Epic foot brace, bow and stern handles, centre carry handles, rear deck bungees, water bottle holder and Epic’s patented bailer (For kick-up rudder option, see the V5 Tourer).
